Youth Jujitsu (ages 5 to 12)
Mon. & Wed. 4:00 – 4:50 p.m.
The study of Jujitsu (Japanese for
“gentle art” ) focuses on using an opponents own force against
them. Used primarily for self-defense, Jujitsu incorporates throws,
pins and escape techniques. Self-defense is not the only benefit,
however; Jujitsu also emphasizes respect, goal-setting, self-confidence,
self-discipline, teamwork, coordination and physical fitness.
Classes taught in a fun, safe atmosphere with an emphasis on when
it is appropriate to use these skills and when it is not. |

Lil’ Dragons (ages 4 to 7)
Mon & Wed 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Tues. & Thurs. 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Lil’ Dragons is a terrific, fun-filled,
energetic class that is perfect for budding martial artists who
are 4-7 years old! It combines exercise, games, martial arts skills,
respect, cooperation, listening skills and important safety lessons
that are all rolled into a dynamic 30-minute lesson. Classes are
taught in a fun, safe atmosphere with an emphasis on when it is
appropriate to use the basic safety skills that are taught and
when it is not. |

Tues & Thurs.. 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. (Danzan Ryu style)
While the study
of martial arts through the centuries has grown from the need for
self-preservation, modern study emphasizes more diverse goals such
as personal growth, physical fitness and goal-setting as well as

respect, goal-setting and physical fitness. Hand strikes, foot
strikes and kicks are taught in a fun, safe atmosphere with an
emphasis on when it is appropriate to use these skills and when
it is not. |

Cardio Karate
/ Kickboxing
Mon. & wed. 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
This extremely popular class is part
of our unique BagWorks Fitness program. Get ready to trim down,
shape up, get moving and have FUN! Exercise in a high-energy,
music-filled environment while learning boxing moves, kickboxing
techniques, and karate basics while using aerobic movement. See

Karate Kids teaches traditional
martial arts skills while focusing on self-esteem, self-confidence,

Judo (ages 8 to Adult.)

Judo is a dynamic martial art derived
from Jujitsu that is also excellent for practical self-defense.
Judo emphasizes throwing and grappling techniques that are similar
to wrestling. With its acceptance as an Olympic sport in 1964,
the popularity of Judo has soared. Benefits include: improved
balance and coordination, physical fitness, self-confidence and
self-discipline. |

Karate (Kajukenbo Style)
Tues. & Thurs. 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
This Kajukenbo style incorporates
techniques from several different martial arts such as Karate,
Jujitsu, and Kenpo. Started in Hawaii in the 1940’s, Kajukenbo
emphasizes hand and foot strikes and is a versatile system for
all-around self-defense. |

Kung Fu (ages 10 to Adult)
Tues & Thurs 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Kung Fu is the original martial arts system of
China and can be recognized for its quick, circular and fluid movements. Our
particular branch of kung fu, Praying Mantis Kung Fu, is a highly
effective fighting art comprised of striking, trapping, throwing
and Chin Na controlling. Training includes traditional forms & weapons
training, strength & conditioning, application work, fight
theory and hand to hand self-defense drills |

Japanese Sword (Batto-do)
Saturday 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Ryuseiken Battdo-do, a Japanese sword art
that combines forms sparring and target cutting. Founded in Mitsuhiro
Saruta in Saki city in 1990. Specified uniforms, wooden sword
and padded sparring sword are required to participate. |

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
Saturday 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
and
Wednesday 8:15pm – 9:15pm
Friday 6:30pm – 7:30pm
A modern mixed martial art consisting of
kickboxing, wrestling, judo and submission grappling. Emphasis
is places on combining traditional martial arts controls with modern
martial arts. Sparring is integral part of class, requiring all
students to attend with proper safety gear and concern for safety
of partner. (very physical class). |
